11/06/2016 - Last Day in Tokyo

We decided to go completely free and easy on our last day in Tokyo. First, sister brought us to this awesome place called Hoshino Coffee for breakfast.

Then, we went to a supermarket nearby to buy even more snacks and tidbits.

Went to another Japanese shop near where sister stayed for lunch - too bad I didn't record down the name of this shop. Though it seemed like just another neighborhood restaurant, trust me, the food served was really the best among all the meals I have had in Japan the entire trip. huhuhu. I can only remember that the shop was near Higashi Yamatoshi train station... that's all..

The melancholy of leaving Japan struck right after this lunch. I remember I kept sighing at the thought of going home while sis repeatedly said "you can always come again one..."

Went to a Japanese bakery, walked home and packed my luggage which, by the way looked like this.

We subsequently dragged our heavy heart,... I mean heavy luggage to the airport (thank God for sister's help. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to carry all that heavy luggage to the airport alone as mum was a little ill then..)

We ate our last bowl of Ramen in the Haneda airport, snapped a couple of photos with mom's faourite flowers, splurge on duty free items, and proceeded to board our flight back to KL.

and this, my dear blog, was the amount of goodies I bought for everyone around me =D

Well, to wrap it up, I really had a good time visiting Japan for the second time in my life. Apart from the family bonding time which I treasured a lot, I like how clean a country Japan is, I like how friendly the locals are, I like how beautiful the country itself is. Japan oh Japan, I will definitely visit you again!!!

10/06/2016 - Shinjuku

After a long day shopping around, we met up with sister's friends at Shinjuku for another round of shabu shabu. Well if you ask me, I feel that the shabu shabu in Japan tastes differently from that of Malaysia's or Singapore's. My appetite surprisingly grew a lot when I was there lol.

Met this lovely couple who were both super friendly and sweet! Really a model couple...

Yup, you got it right. That's Kabukicho - the red light district of Tokyo. teeheee.

We took a stroll around the area for its lights, sounds and crowd before we headed home and called it a day.

10/06/2016 - Ameyoko Street

After visiting Tokyo station for Japanese snacks, we then proceeded to Ueno station for a walk at the Ameyoko Street!

Ameyoko Street is a busy market street that sells various products such as electronics products, seafood, cosmetics, apparels, bags, spices, dried food, etc.

Among the products that I recall getting from there were dried scallops, Japanese umbrellas and some foot masks from one of the pharmacies. Also stopped by this food junction for tea break before we headed for our dinner appointment.

Shopping shopping shopping. Shopped as though money was freeeeeee! =D

10/6/2016 - Tokyo Station

Just like any other vacations, on the second last day of our Japan trip, it was time to splurge on gifts, souvenirs and Japanese snacks to be brought back home for everyone!! So sister brought us to the famous Tokyo station, we shopped and shopped and shopped (me especially...), on all sorts of Japanese snacks which looked appealing to me. ha. The satisfaction that comes with a budgeted holiday - you get to spend on goodies without considering over and over again. haha!

After shopping for a couple of hours, sister brought us to this shop called Kyobashi Sembikiya that sells very fresh fruits desserts and drinks.

Pretty good, if you ask me.. though the price of the food there were slightly on the high side. Anyway... it's holiday so enjoyyyyy!

9/6/2016 - Hakone Lake

What followed after the Venetian Glass Museum was about an hour of drive to the Hakone Lake.

Well, what's famous at the lake was that the lake actually offers a perfect view together with Mount Fuji. Too bad that luck was not on our side that day. The drizzle and the mist actually blocked the view of Mt. Fuji so all we could see, was just... the lake.

Well, it's alright. We can always come back again in the future.. Japan is not running anywhere. As for dinner that evening, we decided to have it simple at one of the BBQ restaurants that was within walking distance from where sister stayed.

Well, to be honest the pork served at this restaurant tasted damn good! Too bad I can't remember the name of the restaurant... aiks!!

9/6/2016 - Venetian Glass Museum

After visiting the wrong museum, we finally made it to the right museum, which was none other than the beautiful, wonderful, lovely Venetian Glass Museum!!

As you can see from the pictures above, the museum houses a collection of glassware in all forms, be it plants, sculptures, vases, etc. The Hakone Glass no Mori features Italian styled buildings with a large strolling garden surrounding a pond.

The moment we stepped into the museum, all three of us were completely mesmerized by the beauty of this place.

Within the Italian style building was a collection of glassware displaying both classical and modern works of art.

Not too long after we entered the building, I decided to go back out. Guess I was more attracted by the pond and plants outdoor compared to what was displayed indoor..

Beautiful flowers, beautiful ambiance, perfect place for a photoshoot. teeheeeee. And this, was definitely one of the places I couldn't have imagined existed until I visited it myself.. all thanks to sis for bringing us there! wheeeeeee!
