An Entry Sums a Year

(judging from the title, you should be mentally prepared for the length of this entry already)

Didn't want to sacrifice a week of fun for a night's thrill. since my tummy and my body is unfit for partying, I decided to cancel all my plans for tonight, stay at home with mom and revel in the small space which I'm sure to miss dearly 10 days later (sorry little geeks who are undoubtedly having a great time in Crown Regency right now sobs)

took a couple of steps down the memory lane to recollect how year 2010 had been for me. also chuckled to myself as I watched a few videos which might seem insignificant to many, but priceless to me.

scary how things could change so much in merely a year.

I used to have this two room mates who were pretty much like my family in Sabah. we did the craziest things on earth,

shared our thoughts, caught each others' back, named our kids (dorophine, xiao bai, ah ngap, ah bear)

who sadly, have to be separated all around Malaysia right now.

conquered the tip of borneo early this year with my fellow friends..

Had my first and truly memorable birthday celebration in Sabah..

which was filled with lots of suspense, surprises, tears of affection and laughters...

such fond memory. I can't thank you girls enough.. seriously.

secondary school girl friends.. who are getting busier and busier nowadays we didn't even get to meet up end of this year =(

Field trip to Sandakan was a "learn a lil, play a lot trip". hehe.
Reception with the Consulate General of Japan in Sutera Harbour..
Last outing with the seniors before they graduated..
Appreciation Night 2010, a success to many, a failure to the person who lead - me.
I could have done a lot better, but I didn't. Something I wasn't really too proud of myself.

pictures of 3 KL-ians who mattered too much to me in 2010. I don't know what else to say..

Best part of the year was when my childhood dream of going to down under became a reality!

I had the best time of my life!

If I were to be given the money just enough to choose between another trip abroad or a branded belonging, I will choose to (with a little doubt haha, but still end up with the same answer:) go abroad!!

who are you joking. I have never felt so happy, carefree and willing to spend all that was within my budget in my entire life before!

Australia's Best Breakfast. expensive but so worth a try! om nom nom nom. I miss Australia already =X

Moving on to hiking with the pudu Rotaractors..

a visit to Singapore...
a one day trip to Malacca...
a two days stay in Brunei..
and a two days trip to Miri..

Can't believe I made it to so many places. Only one which I did not make it was the trip to thailand and penang with mom. Too exhausted and lazy then. haha!

Life in university was a lot of fun too!

all the individual birthday celebrations aside, we've been to the Ice Bar..
the Ocean World at Likas..
Kundasang..
the tea farm..
the all time favourite yoyo cafe..
also our graduated seniors' favourite when they came back for convocation...
I think we are sure to miss yoyo too when we all graduate in 2012.

Major activity that we took part this year was non other than the Japanese Cultural Night 2010

During my short break in KL, I was brought to Zouk for the first time.
I must say I really had fun that night.. down to earth.

Also fulfilled my promise to swim with pikyen after all these years...
and had never ending conversations with my buddy IK.
Worst moment of the year was when I was down with bilateral viral conjunctivities.
Despite the excruciating misery, I was blessed with the love and concern showered on me from friends across the globe.
The only lantern festival in my entire life that I spent with tears rolling down non stop!
It was also during that period that I found out who my true friends are - assisting and keeping me accompanied all the time, holding my hand all the way from Kg E to padang kawad during lantern festival to brighten up my bleak world. things that our friends do, seriously!

when I couldn't read a word on the text,
they went shopping and camwhoring with me!
friends. they may not be with us forever, but the moments we spent together are so priceless that one day, I'm sure to look back at these pictures and miss them badly!

Ex-roommie meihong came back to Sabah from Penang for her convocation.
she is already one of those I'm missing badly now..

During Honey's visit to KK, we took the opportunity to snap many pictures in our own campus..

Then it came the finals... (this is not my hostel. it's the condotel Lam's staying. I tumpang-ed!)
to be frank, I'm pretty satisfied with what I achieved for my studies in year 2010. I wouldn't say they came by a snap of finger as I really worked hard for it, and somebody special did play a part - I really owe my thanks to him. Amazing how two people could help improve each other so much when it comes to passion, but if everything is meant to be a history right now, I'll choose to keep only the good memories here and move on with whatever I'm left with. No more blames, no grudges, no more what-ifs.

as usual, after exam there's post-exam celebrations. first, it was karaoke at Karamunsing..
Next come clubbing at FireFly..
It was Christmas season when I landed my feet on KL after clearing my papers..
and she's definitely one of those who never fails to make me feel happy =)
also managed to meet up with three of my choir friends who've gone through a lot with me during my secondary school time.
and visited i-city with Jessy and James.
I spent most of my december training around Semenyih, KL and Batu Gajah area..
being taught and witnessed the real production and working environment for the Plaster and Mortar sector.

Sometimes I think I'm really quite a lucky girl..
and I'm not gonna elaborate any further to avoid any rumours.

New discovery this year? Hoegaarden is the best beer I've tasted so far..
tutti fruitti is my new addiction..
would love to visit chocolate lounge again if I have the chance and the money..

snowflakes is over rated by youngsters nowadays but it IS something special that you don't usually get to taste around Malaysia.

this group of youngsters I realized, is really funny, nice and vibrant. I like being with them.. sometimes I just wish I was born a year later so that I'll be able to mix better with them =)

Had my first "official" photoshoot at Lake Garden this year and realized there are too much room for improvement haha!
A sudden declaration of public holiday made by our PM gave me the opportunity to meet up with a few old friends as a good closing for year 2010.
My little brother's obsessive narcissism and his "need" for branded items to live in KL really drives me up the wall urrggh! that brat.

to sum it all up (wow! I can't imagine I've made it so far! if you've followed me all the way up to this line, do allow me to congratulate you haha!) just like how life should be, there were ups and downs throughout the year 2010 for me. when everybody else was bidding farewell to 2010 on facebook with a smile, I honestly felt that I'm gonna miss it, somehow or other.

I worked adequately hard, I played a lot harder;
I obtained what I aimed for, I explored what I needed for the year;
there might be some bitter moments here and there, but I'll try to only remember the sweet ones =)

It's been a great year and I hope 2011 will be another fruitful one.
