Day 8 started off with YS waiting at the living room for me and YY to get ready for the day (paise paise!!) After breakfast, we went to Mount Lofty for sightseeing.

Here's a new friend - Chin Fatt. A very nice and humble guy.

Thanks YS for the wonderful pictures taken =)
Proceeded to the Cleland Wildlife Park to visit animals I've always seen on TV but never right in front of my eyes.. haha.

Koala!! We were told to pat it gently only at the bottom back of it but not its head. I wonder why..

Kangaroos!! the most anticipating animal ever!
Didn't have the courage to feed them at first so I told Chin Fatt to go before me haha!

First attempt was scary la okay! Wonder how did YS manage to snap this so fast! haha.
Afterthat I realized that kangaroos are so gentle there's no need to be afraid of them (even though after the feedings I got scratched on my wrist ish ish!)

Up next is Emu - the national animal of Australia which looks a lot like ostrich to me.

The above two pictures are so funny I wonder why nobody likes them. I mean, c'mon.. How often do you actually see kangaroos sunbathing on the grass with such a nice pose? or a kangaroo immitating the act of a human being by standing upright and stare right into our eyes? sheesh. I think I need to submit those pictures to the Star in order to get their fair share of limelight hmph!
Apparently there are a LOT more pictures of other animals that we took in the Wildlife park but I guess those that I posted up are enough for this entry..
Went to Hahndorf (a German village) for lunch.. the view over there was really really nice any of you who plans to go Adelaide should at least stop by at Hahndorf once! haha.
before lunch, we had pot belly pies.

Read the words on your bottom left - Voted Best Pies in SA! haha! and I the lucky one got to taste it wheeeee!

but guess what? I'm glad my first experience was done in no where but my dream place - Australia! wahahaha!

and just because she hated strawberries, I never liked the taste of it although they tasted perfectly fine. it just doesn't do much justice to this pathetic fruit, does it?

and hence, after 22 May 2010, I officially declare that my hatred for strawberries had finally ended.

Had a walk along Hahndorf, bought some candies and snapped a few random pictures..

Another hot spot which made us wait for about 30 minutes although we made our reservation beforehand.

as usual, the food came in such big portion the four of us were bloated before we even finished eating sigh! wish I could finish up the remainings right now at home in Malaysia =(

Next stop was the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm..
Point all your fingers at my face and laugh out loud because I haven't had the experience of plucking strawberries for the past 22 years of my life. seriously. not even in Cameron. this is ridiculous.

I don't know about you, but since young I always placed my preference in things by following the steps of my elder sister:
just because she hated durians, I disliked it. just because she loved blue, blue appeared to be an extraordinarily nicer colour through my eyes (it still does!) some of my friends even commented about the amount of blue clothes I have in my wardrobe. haha.

still, if you place a banana and a strawberry in front of me right now, I'd still choose the banana. Some things are just like that. Just because I'm fine with it now doesn't mean my preference will change. It applies to anything else in this world too. If you get what I mean haha.

Dined in a Vietnam Restaurant with YY, YS and Tze Syan.
