Feeling gloomy and depressed is really inevitable and it does not necessarily require a reason sometimes. When it hits us every once in a blue moon (and everything around just don't go the way it should be for example wanting to eat Maggie but there's no egg, wanting to chat with mom but she's having a meeting in Malacca, wanting to sms but digi down – though only for 10 minutes, wanting to buy dinner but it's raining etc), what matters most is how people around us help us through the resiliency.
To be frank I am not a girl living with exceptionally high expectations on everything (as contradict to general presumption hmph!), a simple message from a person who is in an effort to help really can help clear the dark cloud amazingly quick.
With this, I would like to thank every one of you my friends in the effort of pulling me out of the deep sea during that critical few hours, especially you-know-who-you-are (I don't know if you even read this but here's a sincere thanks from a grateful me).. I am indeed, a very lucky girl, but me being me, I never liked the feeling of troubling people. Perhaps I should tune down a bit the next time it strikes as nobody should even be bothered during my lousy crappy times, really. Look at the trouble I caused sigh.
Anyway good news is, I'm pretty much myself again now. I owe all you wonderful people my loving thanks today. xoxo =)

Sushi King RM2 Bonanza
It's here again!!

Every semester without fail.

Every semester without fail.
The Sushi King RM2 Bonanza!

There are too many Japanese food restaurant around nowadays making it pretty competitive for the fellow businessmen but us consumers on the other hand, get to pick the best out of the kaleidoscopic choices available all the time yay!
If it wasn't because of the RM2 Bonanza, doubt my friends and I will even step foot in Sushi King nowadays.
To survive in the market, they should probably consider discriminatrory pricing for students (like us!!) and do some research on competitors' actions and customers' demands.
Capital Budgeting would do some good in terms of long run and if they really consider coming out with new products that attracts more sushi lovers, I reckon the short payback period will also get to change the image of its current status in our mind.
See? who says taking Management and Accounting for Engineers is a waste of time? even the noobest accounting student who played truant for more than 50% of the lectures is able to come up with something related to the syllabus.
oh well. nutty yiny is sleepy hence the crappy entry (omg it rhymes I'm such a talented blogger wth good night world)

Holding My Mother's Hand - Daniel Gottlieb
Even though the book seems to be SO tempting, I am trying my best not to touch it too frequently now. The external reason would be that I have Mass Transfer test tomorrow, but the internal reason would be caused by fear. The fear that I have reached the final line of the 170th page, the fear that I can't find anything on par with this in the market, the fear that something so valuable to me have to come to an end.
For the sake of remembering what the author said by heart, there are quite a number of pieces that made me read over and over again. One that really touched my heart was the piece on "Holding My Mother’s Hand"..
"I recalled how her hands had made me feel safe when I was little. I also remembered how, when I was a few years older, I rejected the security that her hands had offered, pretending I was more independent than I really felt"
Only after the death of his mother, the author started to recollect about the past. How a mother who fought, pushed, nagged, annoyed, mistrust and embarrassed him in front of his friends was a powerful mother who was fighting FOR him even more.
The closer we are to people around us, the more we tend to judge them as far from perfection. Expectations after expectations, disappointments never seem to cease. Sometimes all we need to do is really just to open up our heart and accept everything the way they are. That way, life would be simpler and happier.

Learning from the Heart
had a talk with a close friend yesterday and I was advised to widen my general viewing angle by reading more. I walked into Harris today and found a few good books that really attracted me. If it wasn't because I'm on a tight budget this month, I would have gotten them without giving a second thought sigh!
Currently reading is an inspiring work from Dr Daniel Gottlieb. The minute I settled down in my hostel I just couldn't let go of this book. Every little topic published in this book really has a ring of truth in it. I am not blogging any further because I have now discovered something that is worth every second of my time =)
Read up peeps, and enrich yourself in the realm of wisdom. It is time to hop out from that narrow perspective.

Random Thought
A sudden message from a senior I've not heard from in years dragged my thoughts back in a time capsule..
I guess in life, there are just people who don't click with us although there isn't much encounters between us and absolutely nothing is done on our side to deserve such cold treatments. While we keep ponder about the why-s of such situations, never did it cross our minds that all these while, there are many others who like and accepted us for who we are without a solid reason too.
I guess it's just a norm that people tend to always look at things and spend more time thinking about the unnecessary pessimistic side of life. Then again, once in a while, somebody or something out there will just appear out of no where to also remind us that we are actually missing so much from the brilliant side of life.
Just a random saying, life's too short to be ruined by petty unworthy matters and people. Save your time and energy for the things that'll bring a smile =)
yours truly,
yiny.
(on the night before my management and accounting test haha I'm so screwed!)
